POSITION DESCRIPTION /  DESCRIPCION DE PUESTO:

The PE is responsible for developing, characterizing, qualifying and controlling configuration of Reed Relay products, and for supporting all aspects related to application, characterization and testing of Photo-MOS relays. Based on strong technical background will work closely with Product Management, Supply Chain and Manufacturing functions to drive continuous improvement activities related to  product cost, quality and reliability, and will support customer related requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & AUTHORITIES / FUNCIONES & AUTORIDADES DEL PUESTO:

  • Owns and drives product performance characterization and specification.
  • Controls product BOM and configuration.
  • In collaboration with other functions, defines product testing, reliability and qualification requirements and recommends appropriate methodologies.
  • Take part in new product/technology development process at design phase to define cost structure and test/manufacturing strategy.
  • Drive cost reduction and yield improvement projects.
  • In collaboration with Supply Chain and Quality will identify and develop suppliers in their capability to consistently produce materials that meet our specifications.
  • Assists Sales and Marketing and Quality groups with customer related issues and opportunities, based on strong product and technical knowledge.
  • Performs period competitive analysis via product characterization. Collects, generates and submits data and analysis for review and documentation.
  • Visits customers if, when appropriate to either work through product/application related issues and/or obtain new product insight/knowledge for future product definitions in conjunction with Product Management.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / EDUCACION REQUERIDA:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED / HABILIDADES Y CONOCIMIENTO REQUERIDO

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product/test engineering roles.
  • Experience in statistical data analysis, with knowledge in Lean/Six-sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of integrated circuits in CMOS technology.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization effectively.
  • Analytical & Diagnostics skills.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

POSITION DESCRIPTION /  DESCRIPCION DE PUESTO:

The Distribution Manager is responsible for managing and growing distribution sales within North America as well as coordinating the same worldwide. This position will be developing, implementing and improving on market-penetration and distribution programs ultimately targeted to increase share of mind and market share. He/she will work closely with the members of Product Management, Business Development, Marketing and Sales organization in developing the strategies and processes essential to growing the businesses. He/she will also have primary responsibility for managing the relationships of the key decision makers at Coto’s franchised distributors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & AUTHORITIES / FUNCIONES & AUTORIDADES DEL PUESTO:

  • Generate and own the annual marketing and financial plans, by distribution partner through the understanding and leveraging of each distributors business strengths.
  • Create, manage, monitor and continually improve on quarterly programs targeted to demonstrate continued and consistent growth.
  • Work with Marketing and Product Management to create marketing ads, web-site material, promotional and marketing materials all targeted to leverage the distributors strengths.
  • Analyze Point of Sale (POS) data on a monthly basis looking for First Time purchases, repeat purchases, trends, etc. Generate tactics for follow up with Distributor counter and Coto Business Development and Sales.
  • Develop and maintain a keen awareness/understanding of competition, their use of the channel, product positioning, pricing and provide recommendations to Product Management where improvements can be made to accelerate product growth.
  • Revise pricing on an annual basis, or as needed, to position Coto’s products favorably against competition while meeting Product Management’s business objectives.
  • Regularly meet with counterparts within Distribution organization, minimum one week travel per month. Develop and maintain partner and prospective partner relationships.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / EDUCACION REQUERIDA:

  • BSEE 3 – 5 years electronic components experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED / HABILIDADES Y CONOCIMIENTO REQUERIDO:

  • Analytical abilities in performing trends, POS, and competitive analysis
  • Three (3) to five (5) years working in the Distribution business either as someone managing Distribution within a company (IC company a plus) or in a Distribution company working with (IC) companies. In either situation, working for or with an Integrated Circuits (IC) company, preferably with magnetic sensor or MOSFET is a plus.
  • Fluent in MS Word, Excel, Adobe PDF and Adobe Illustrator to perform business analysis and generate technical documents.
  • Travel Required -15-25%
  • Fluent in English language, both oral and written while demonstrating high confidence in making technical presentations internally (engineering, management) and externally (customers, sales partners)
  • Above all, a real passion to solve problems and win business. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain/Master Scheduling roles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is primarily performed in an office environment; however, up to 10% of the time may require working in a more physical manner. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, talk and hear 100% of the time. May require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, light lifting and stooping up to 10% of the time.
