POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In conjunction with the Product Manager, utilize linear or mixed-signal IC background to work with one or more technology/manufacturing partners managing aspects such as cost, producibility, quality, performance, reliability, intended lifespan, as well as alignment to current and future customer requirements.

NECESSARY BACKGROUND, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
• Five (5) years minimum of magnetic sensor product and technology background working in the AMR/GMR/TMR magnetic thin film sensors and/or Hall Effect strongly preferred
• EBSEE required, MSEE preferred along with min. of 3-5 yrs electronic components experience
• Experience/exposure with standard semiconductor processes
• Familiarity with industry standards such as Mil-Std, JEDEC, IPC
• Trained in methodologies such as SQC, Six-Sigma, Lean, FEMA, ISO
• Fluent in English language, both oral and written and confident making technical presentations internally (engineering, management) and externally (customers, sales partners)
• Experience with software tools for design and analysis such as CAD, MathCad & MiniTab
• Software skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, etc

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provide technical support to the sales channel, customers, Business Development and Sales Management, with regard to magnetic sensing and switching.  Identify and create tools (app notes, evaluation boards, etc.) essential to the facilitation of component design-ins. Participate in generating new product concepts and providing application and competitive insight to Product Management.  Periodic completion and presentation (to Product Management and Engineering) of competitive analysis.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Five (5) years minimum of magnetic sensor product and technology background working in the AMR/GMR/TMR magnetic thin film sensors and/or Hall Effect
  • 3-5 years experience designing electrical circuits with some level of micro/embedded programming preferred.
  • Fluency in MS Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, Adobe Illustrator and CAD to generate technical documents and publication graphics
  • BSEE/BSME preferred. 3-5 years electronic components experience.
  • Willingness to travel (Travel Required -15-25%)
  • Fluency in the English language (both oral and written) and confidence in making technical presentations internally (engineering, management) and externally (customers, sales partners)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Working with a Product Engineer to perform diversified duties required to design and execute test procedures on small magnetic sensing devices to characterize their performance and qualification to, and beyond specification. Immediate focus will be on magnetic film devices such as AMR, GMR, and TMR.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • College degree (ASEE/BSEE/BSEET) strongly preferred, along with a minimum of 3-5 yrs. electronic components experience
  • Ability to read schematics, debug to the component level, and make necessary repairs
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as Mil-Std, JEDEC, IPC
  • Fluency in the English language, both oral and written. Ability to collect test data and provide a concise, clear and complete technical report.

NECESSARY ATTRIBUTES:

  • Problem solving abilities – Working directly with, and/or directing remote people/teams to resolve issues (from determining the root cause to expediting corrective action)
  • Ability to work alone and with teams that are geographically diverse
  • Programming Skills (e.g., NI Labview, Excel Macro, etc.) preferred
  • Willingness to travel (some travel required – 1-4 times / year with typical locations of California or Mexico)

 MATERIAL, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Lab instruments such as DVM, Oscilloscope, LCR Bridge, optical microscope, etc.
  • Basic hand/power tools used in construction of small test fixtures or testers
  • Basic machine-shop tools such as a drill press, band saw, sander, etc
  • MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Webex, Skype
  • ExpressPCB or other PCB/schematic design tools.
